Mary has a multi-jurisdictional law practice. She is fully licensed to practise law in Ontario, England & Wales, and Hong Kong. She studied law in The University of British Columbia, University College London, The University of Hong Kong, Beijing Tsinghua University.

Mary joined our firm after she completed her articling with Legal Aid Ontario in 2026. Whilst articling with Legal Aid Ontario, she provided family law and criminal law services to low-income, racialized, and marginalized people, helping them to navigate often stressful and complicated court proceedings.

Before settling in Canada, Mary practised English common law with a UK-based international law firm, HFW, in their London office, Hong Kong office, and Shanghai office. Her legal practice focused on civil litigation, commercial litigation, international trade, and international arbitration. Mary was once appointed a Judicial Associate working alongside High Court judges in Hong Kong learning how to adjudicate complicated cases and administer justice. She brings her litigation and international experiences to her new passion: family law after being exposed to the intricacies in her articles.

Mary has a wide range of hobbies. She enjoys hiking, gardening, fishing, singing karaoke, watching musicals, and learning languages. She speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and has tried hard to learn Japanese, Spanish and French. She is keen to meet clients and friends from different cultures with different backgrounds.
