Anam Rana obtained her LL.B. with honours from the University of London in 2015 and her LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017. As a law student, Anam attended and assisted on an appeal to the Court of Appeal of Ontario in Toronto. She has worked in numerous law firms, where she has helped clients facing complicated Family Law issues. To follow her passion for Family Law, Anam volunteered to help the Legal department of Peel’s Children’s Aid Society.
As a volunteer, she reviewed case files and interacted with families who were facing child protection issues. She also observed and assisted the CAS staff in various court proceedings. Anam’s experience at the CAS has helped her develop a practice in Family Law and she is committed to defending the rights of families involved with the CAS.
As an associate at Gottlieb Law Firm, Anam practices in all areas of Family Law, with a particular focus on high conflict cases of custody and access disputes, spousal and child support, equalization of net family property, and child protection issues. Anam is committed to defending the rights of her clients and dedicated to helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. She takes the time to understand her clients’ goals and objectives and to help them practically and efficiently achieve those goals. Apart from Anam’s deep interest in Family Law, she is a compassionate person who is empathetic and understanding of her clients’ unique challenges. Her fluency in English, Hindu, Urdu, and Punjabi languages can assist in communicating with clients of diverse cultural backgrounds.
